A new department will be set up at the Kurgan Regional Oncodispensary

On the basis of the Kurgan Regional Oncologic Dispensary an oncology and urology department will be created. This was reported to IA "Ura.ru" by the regional health department in response to a query about the alleged optimization of the institution.

"Information about the optimization of the onco-gynecological department does not correspond to reality. In order to bring in compliance with the requirements of the order of medical care on oncology in the oncodispensary it is planned to unite the department of abdominal oncology and the department of thoracic oncology in the department of thoracoabdominal oncology", - explained in the department.

The new oncourological department will start working in the first quarter of 2025. In general, the number of beds in the institution will remain the same: their reduction, as well as the reduction of staff, is not planned.

Since the beginning of 2024 in Kurgan oncodispensary medical care in the 24-hour hospital received about 4 thousand people, in the day hospital - more than 1.2 thousand more.

In summer it was reported that in Kurgan the deadline for delivery of the new polyclinic, which is being built in the city center, was postponed for more than a year. Initially it was planned that the contractor would build an adult polyclinic on Kirov Street by the end of July 2024, but the construction of the eight-story building was delayed due to flaws in the project and errors in the documents.
