The construction of an educational center with a boarding school was disrupted in YNAO

The Capital Construction Directorate of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (YNAO) has terminated the contract with the contractor who was engaged in the construction of an educational center for children and adults. This is reported by the Ura.ru news agency with reference to the relevant documentation on the public procurement portal.

The Business Group company from Vorkuta was to build a center for pre-vocational training and additional education for children and adults with a boarding school for 60 places in the village of Gorki, Shuryshkarsky district. The cost of the contract was 673 million rubles.

The main reasons for the termination of the contract were slow work performance and various violations discovered on the construction site. As of December 2, the delay was already 277 days.

The District Department of Finance demanded to return the advance payment in the amount of 383.53 million rubles, as well as to pay a penalty of 2.3 million rubles. In case of refusal, the capital construction directorate intends to go to court.

The construction of the center was supposed to be completed by February 26, 2026, the news agency specifies. The social facility was supposed to unite young people aged 14 to 30 years old.
