Expert gives advice on receiving co-financing from the state for 2024

Under the co-financing program, citizens will be able to receive up to 36,000 rubles a year for their investments for 10 years, which will significantly increase the attractiveness of savings. State additional payments will be transferred until August 1, 2025. SberNPF Executive Director Alla Palshina told Izvestia on December 17 about the main conditions for participation in the program and explained how to take advantage of this support.

"To participate in the program, you need to choose an NPF, enter into a program agreement with it and replenish your account. To receive co-financing from the state, you need to replenish the account by at least 2 thousand rubles per year. Different conditions of co-financing under the program are provided for citizens with different income levels," said Palshina.

According to her, in addition to state support, the PDS program offers significant tax advantages. Each participant has the right to receive an annual tax deduction for the amount of their personal contributions, not exceeding Br400 thousand per year. For example, contributions made in 2024 can be refunded up to 60 thousand rubles, and starting from 2025 - up to 88 thousand rubles due to the introduction of a new personal income tax scale. In case of withdrawal from the program, in most situations, no tax on investment income will be charged.

In addition, participants' savings are protected by the Deposit Insurance Agency. In case of unforeseen circumstances, the participant is compensated for personal contributions and investment income on them up to 2.8 million rubles. Separate guarantees are provided for the received co-financing, transferred funded pension funds and income on these funds, the expert explained.

Earlier, on November 20, Galina Morozova, an expert of the non-state pension fund (NPF) "Future", told "Izvestia" about the growth of participants of the long-term savings program in the Russian Federation.
