The Supreme Court of the Lugansk People's Republic (LNR) sentenced 20-year-old Ukrainian citizen Danil Fisun in the case of espionage (Article 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), sentencing him to 17 years in a strict regime colony. This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation on December 16.

The court found that the figure was an agent of the Armed forces of Ukraine (AFU).

"From April to May 2023, Fisun voluntarily collected information on the movement and locations of Russian servicemen on the territory of the LNR. The obtained data he transferred gratuitously to the Ukrainian special services with the help of one of the messengers," - stated on the website of the Department.

This data could have been used against the Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces). In addition, as the FSB in the LNR clarified to TASS, in 2023, the citizen helped the AFU to correct strikes on promo facilities on the territory of the republic. As a result, residential houses and businesses were destroyed. Also wounded civilians, including six children.

"The court agreed with the position of the state prosecutor and sentenced Fisun to 17 years of imprisonment with serving his sentence in a penal colony of strict regime", - reports the Prosecutor General's office.

Earlier, on December 16, the Supreme Court of the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) passed a verdict in a criminal case of espionage (Art. 276 of the Criminal Code) against 24-year-old citizen of Ukraine Roman Tupalo. According to the prosecutor's office of the DNR, the man will have to spend the next 12 years in a colony. It has been established that the defendant transferred data to the main intelligence directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry about the location of law-enforcement agencies of the Russian Interior Ministry in Mariupol.
