In Moscow, more than 9.6 million rubles were stolen from the apartment of a 93-year-old pensioner. This was reported by a source of Izvestiya on December 16. The disappearance was reported by her daughter, to whom the funds belonged.

A 67-year-old resident of Nagatinsky Zaton reported that between January and December 2024, unknown persons secretly stole her money, which was hidden in a paper bag on the top shelf of the pantry. The amount of damage amounted to over $68 thousand and €24.3 thousand (more than Br9.6 million).

It is known that the woman lives with her 93-year-old mother, who has been a bedridden patient for six years. Four caregivers were hired to take care of her. Also, the 38-year-old daughter of the victim knew about the stash. The details of what happened are being investigated.

Earlier, on December 11, the caregiver stole from a 100-year-old Muscovite collectible coins and awards in the amount of 300 thousand rubles. The woman had an accomplice - her acquaintance, who together with her lived in the apartment of the pensioner. Stolen malefactors sold the stolen goods to familiar resellers, and after that the nurse quit. The disappearance was discovered by relatives. The caregiver was detained and taken into custody. In addition, the fence-seller, who had a part of the stolen goods, was detained and sent under house arrest.
