The court extended the arrest of Ogloblin, the former head of the Defense Ministry's communications department, for three months

The court extended the arrest of the former head of the 1st Department of the Main Directorate of the Main Department of Communications of the Defense Ministry, Alexander Ogloblin, for three months. This was reported to "Izvestia" on December 16 in the 235th garrison military court.

The court ruled to satisfy the petition of the investigation to extend the period of detention: Ogloblin will stay in pre-trial detention until March 24, 2025.

Alexander Ogloblin is accused of receiving a multimillion-dollar bribe in the execution of the state defense order. Between 2016 and 2021, the accused received a bribe of 10 million rubles from representatives of the Telta plant in exchange for patronage of a large state defense order (SDO) for the supply of communications equipment for the Russian Defense Ministry.

Earlier, in September this year, former employees of the Russian Defense Ministry, reserve colonels Andrei Chekmazov and Dmitry Fomin, were accused of receiving a bribe worth 7.7 million rubles.
