The European Union (EU) has imposed sanctions against three Russian companies and 16 people, including singer Larisa Dolina. This became known from an official document published on the website of the community on December 16.

It is noted that Dolina was subjected to restrictions for supporting the special operation, speeches in front of the Russian military, as well as for her concerts in the cities of Donbass.

In addition, the EU sanctions list included the development company "PIK - specialized developer", the airline Utair, journalist Tina Kandelaki and other persons.

Earlier in the day it became known that the EU foreign ministers finally approved the 15th package of economic and individual sanctions against Russia. The list of restrictions included a total of 54 individuals and 30 organizations. Also, 52 ships were added to the list, which are subject to a ban on access to the port and a ban on the provision of a wide range of services related to maritime transport.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on November 7 that the volume of Western anti-Russian sanctions is unprecedented from a historical point of view, but the restrictions have not dealt Russia "a crushing blow from which it will not be able to recover." The head of state emphasized that no sanctions will change the fact that Russia is actually needed by the world.

Western countries have tightened sanctions pressure on Russia in connection with the special operation to protect Donbass. The decision to launch it was announced on February 24, 2022 after the situation in the region worsened due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
