Emergencies Ministry evacuated Sochi residents trapped in snow from the Cherkessky Pass

Three male volunteers of the Caucasus Nature Reserve were trapped in the snow on the Cherkess Pass in Sochi after being covered with snow in shepherd's huts (sheds for resting shepherds) after a snowstorm. According to the Russian Emergencies Ministry on December 16, the Sochi residents were evacuated by rescuers in a Ka-32 helicopter.

"At 1800-meter altitude, it snowed for several days with a blizzard, there was high avalanche danger. It became impossible to get out on foot," - noted in the Telegram-channel of the department.

To help people, a helicopter of the Russian Emergencies Ministry with rescuers flew to the area of Mount Fisht. The men were evacuated, taking on board the aircraft, and then taken to Sochi.

Earlier, on May 22, a group of three tourists were evacuated from Maly Tkhach mountain in Adygea by a helicopter of the Russian Emergencies Ministry because of the ill health of one of them. The 29-year-old and her companions were taken to Sochi, the girl was handed over to an ambulance crew
