The head of AvtoVAZ named the terms of Lada Niva Sport release

The classic SUV Lada Niva in Sport modification will enter pre-production at the end of December. This was told by the head of AvtoVAZ Maxim Sokolov in an interview with the TV channel "Rossiya-24".

"This year, literally under the Christmas tree, we will start pre-production of Niva Sport," Sokolov said.

The top manager also shared other upcoming novelties of AvtoVAZ. Thus, this winter Lada Vesta will be equipped with a six-speed manual transmission and climate control system. And during 2025, Niva Travel and Niva Legend will be equipped with new 1.8-liter engines.

The sporty version of the Niva differs from the standard SUV with a 122-horsepower 1.6 engine with original calibration, body adapted to the new powertrain, disc brakes on all wheels, reinforced rear axle and suspension, original springs and shock absorbers Lada Sport, 17-inch disks and other modifications.

On November 28, AvtoVAZ announced that it will unveil a new B+ segment crossover on the Lada Vesta platform in summer 2025 at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). A key project in 2025 will be the launch of Lada Iskra production, and one of the nearest new products will be the Niva Sport SUV.
