In 2024, FESCO Transport Group (an enterprise within the Rosatom State Corporation) supported 51 social projects of NGOs, budgetary organizations and volunteers of Primorsky Krai within the grant competition "Sea of Opportunities", the company's press service said. The initiatives implemented by activists covered more than 10 thousand residents of the region. The total amount of support exceeded 13 million rubles.

According to the company's representatives, nine of the funded social projects are implemented by teams of schoolchildren under the guidance of teachers and mentors. This category of initiatives in 2024 was the first to qualify for FESCO grants. Another three initiatives became winners in a special nomination of the Vladivostok Commercial Seaport. Traditionally, these are projects focused on the development of the Egersheld neighborhood where the port is located.

"In total, over the five years of the Sea of Opportunities program, 134 good and useful ideas were implemented, and the number of beneficiaries exceeded 42 thousand people. In December 2024, we presented a compilation of the best practices of the competition. These are projects that have proven their effectiveness and can be replicated in any region. After all, social problems are usually similar in different parts of the country. Our grantees have found solutions and are ready to share their experience," explained Pavel Shalit, Vice President of FESCO Port Division and Organizational Development.

The Sea of Opportunities grant contest has been organized by FESCO since 2020 to solve the most acute social problems of Primorsky Krai. Non-profit, budget organizations and volunteers can receive up to 500 thousand rubles for implementation of projects on environmental protection, improvement, support of the least protected groups of the population, development and promotion of sports and healthy lifestyle, protection of cultural and historical heritage. In 2024, Sea of Opportunities took second place in the nomination "Best Program Promoting Sustainable Development through Grant Competitions" of the All-Russian rating "Leaders of Corporate Philanthropy".
