FSB officers seized more than 42 kg of drugs in the Chelyabinsk region


In Chelyabinsk, two local residents involved in the activities of an interregional criminal group were detained for drug distribution. This was reported on Monday, December 16, by the press service of the FSS of Russia in the Chelyabinsk region.
"December 14, 2024 as a result of the operation revealed the illegal actions of two residents of Chelyabinsk, involved in the activities of an interregional criminal group, specializing in the sale of drug shipments in especially large amounts in the Ural Federal District", - stated in the message of the agency.
It is specified that the law enforcement agencies found and seized 42 kg of mephedrone.
A criminal case was initiated against the men under part 3 of article 30, part. 5 Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted sale of narcotic drugs on a large scale"). A measure of restraint in the form of remand in custody has been chosen for them.
All the circumstances of the crime are being established.
Earlier, on December 3, law enforcers detained a man, producing mephedrone in the Moscow region under the guidance of citizens of Ukraine. It was specified that the 37-year-old man organized an illegal laboratory for the production of the drug on the territory of Egorievsk. The Ukrainian handlers gave the man money to rent a dacha house for this purpose.
