Forest patrolling was intensified before the New Year in the Moscow region

The event "Christmas Tree-2024" started in the forests of the Moscow region. Patrolling of natural areas has been intensified.

The action is aimed at detecting and preventing violations related to illegal felling of coniferous trees. In the forests organized duty of forest protection officers, increased the frequency of patrolling. This is reported by the Internet edition of "Podmoskovye Segodnya".

For illegal felling of Christmas trees citizens face a fine of up to 5 thousand rubles, legal entities - up to 500 thousand rubles. If the damage from cutting exceeds 5 thousand rubles, criminal liability is provided. The event will last until the end of December.

Earlier, forest patrolling was strengthened in Kamchatka Krai.
