Two sailors evacuated from a tanker in the Black Sea have been transferred from intensive care, their condition has improved. This was reported to "Izvestia" by the assistant to the head of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation Alexei Kuznetsov.

"The condition of all 11 crew members hospitalized yesterday (December 15. - Ed.), doctors today assess as medium severity. They continue to receive all necessary treatment," he added.

Kuznetsov stressed that assistance to the victims is coordinated by the Federal Center for Disaster Medicine of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

On December 15, Kuznetsov said that 11 people were injured as a result of the Volgoneft-212 tanker wreck in the Kerch Strait, two of them in serious condition. All 11 victims were recorded hypothermia.

Russian tankers "Volgoneft-212" and "Volgoneft-239" crashed due to bad weather in the Kerch Strait the day before. In that area there were strong squally winds and sea excitement up to seven points. As a result of the wreck there was a spill of oil products. The tankers ran aground.
