American actress Jill Jacobson died at the age of 70 due to illness

In Culver City, California, actress of the series "Star Trek: The Next Generation" Jill Jacobson died at the age of 70 due to cancer. This was reported on December 15 by the American newspaper Variety.

"Jill Jacobson, a film and television actress known for her work on "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and the primetime soap opera "Falcon Crest," died on December 8," the newspaper said.

The actress' death was confirmed by her friend, publicist Daniel Harari.

Jill Jacobson was an American actress who appeared in numerous films and TV series during her career. Jacobson's notable roles include Erin Jones in 22 episodes of the television series Falcon Crest. She also played Vanessa in the legendary series Star Trek: The Next Generation in 1989. On September 20 this year, the actress revealed that she had been battling esophageal cancer for almost three years.
