VTB launched online transfers of funds to Armenia

VTB has launched a service for transferring funds by card number to Armenia, the bank's press service said.
"VTB is consistently developing cross-border transfer services. Users have already been able to send funds to most CIS countries, and now they can transfer funds to any bank card in Armenia," said Alexei Khranilov, head of the "Transfers" division of VTB's Transactional Retail Business Department.
The service is available for all payment systems operating in the country. The money is transferred to the recipient's card in the national currency - Armenian Dram.
Earlier VTB launched card number transfers to Kazakhstan with the possibility to transfer money in rubles with subsequent automatic conversion to tenge.
Last week VTB announced the development of a payment solution that will allow to pay for purchases abroad by QR code. Payments will be made without commission in rubles with subsequent conversion into the national currency of the country where the purchase was made.
