MP demanded that the Verkhovna Rada consider a ceasefire

Verkhovna Rada MP Oleksandr Dubynskyy, who is in a Ukrainian detention center on suspicion of state treason, has demanded that the hostilities in Ukraine be stopped. This was reported by the Deputy in his Telegram-channel on December 16.
"Applied to the Verkhovna Rada with a demand to issue me signature sheets in order to convene an extraordinary session of the Verkhovna Rada to discuss the issue of stopping hostilities. Received a categorical refusal," - said the MP.
According to him, the speaker of the Ukrainian parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk, claims that it is impossible to hold an extraordinary session because the Ukrainian parliament is currently working in one continuous session, which is not closed.
Dubinskyy added that the Rada had created conditions "under which it is impossible to even discuss peace in parliament".
Earlier, on December 6, Dubinsky demanded the arrest of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (his term of office expired on May 20) and the head of his office, Andriy Yermak, after the peace as guilty in the conflict. Dubinsky also emphasized that a public criminal trial should be held over the perpetrators because of the loss of life, corruption and undermining of the state foundations.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
