All 14 crew members were evacuated from the tanker Volgoneft-239, which crashed in the Kerch Strait. About it on Monday, December 16, reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

"The operation to rescue the crew from the tanker "Volgoneft-239" is completed," - noted the agency in Telegram.

The incidents with the tankers "Volgoneft-239", as well as the "Volgoneft-212" occurred the day before. "Volgoneft-212" was damaged due to bad weather, it ran aground. There were 13 crew members on board. Some time later, the "Volgoneft-239" was damaged. "Izvestia" showed footage from the scene of the incident.

Russian President Vladimir Putin gave instructions on the organization of rescue operations. During the rescue operation, 13 people were evacuated from the first vessel, one of them died. The prosecutor's office has started checking the incidents. The Russian Investigative Committee's Directorate for Crimea and Sevastopol has opened two criminal cases.
