AvtoVAZ denied information about the increase in prices for Lada cars

AvtoVAZ did not increase prices for Lada cars at the end of 2024. The change in price lists of Lada Niva Travel is due to the expansion of the list of options of the model. This was reported to Izvestia on December 16 in the press service of the company.

"From November 26, 2024 Niva Travel is produced only in versions with driver's airbag or with two frontal airbags. This is the return of the option demanded by the market, restored after the withdrawal of suppliers from unfriendly countries from Russia", - reported at AvtoVAZ.

The company specified that information about the options has been added to the model description on the Lada website. At the same time, cars in earlier configurations without airbags are also presented on the site in the "Cars in stock" section.

Earlier in the day, a number of Telegram channels reported that AvtoVAZ allegedly raised car prices.

Before that, on December 12, the head of AvtoVAZ Maxim Sokolov said that prices for Lada cars will increase only in 2025, but the growth is planned to be kept below inflation.

AvtoVAZ announced the resumption of production of Lada Niva Travel with airbags and emergency call system, as well as a new three-spoke steering wheel in late November. The driver's frontal airbag and emergency call system are installed on all Niva Travel configurations from the basic Classic version, which costs from 1.33 million rubles. In Comfort (from 1.54 million rubles) and above the cars are additionally equipped with a passenger frontal airbag.
