Ukrainian prisoner told of orders to shoot residents of Kursk region

The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) gave orders to shoot civilians and Russian soldiers in Kursk Region. This was told on December 16 by the captured serviceman Arthur Plombirus.
"I changed into a Russian military uniform and approached the positions of the Russians with the pretext "give me a cigarette", and then asked to push the car. And, when the guys got out, I dealt with them," the prisoner told.
According to him, the AFU command set the task to shoot Russian soldiers and civilians, in addition, the command asked not to speak to them in Ukrainian.
The captured shared that most of the soldiers in the unit had been previously convicted for serious crimes, such as murder, rape and looting.
Earlier, on December 12, captured AFU soldier Ivan Sova said in a video published by the Russian Defense Ministry that before being sent to the Kursk region, the AFU was instructed to choose suicide over captivity. According to him, before being sent to the front, military personnel are told that even if they surrender, they will allegedly be killed anyway.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The operation to destroy the militants continues.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
