The New Year holidays will last 11 days - from December 29, 2024 to January 8, 2025. This was reported on Monday, December 16, by Marina Lopatina, an expert at the Institute of Social Analysis and Forecasting of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA).

As emphasized in a conversation with "RIA Novosti" analyst, December 30 will be a day off, as the working day from this date was moved to December 28. At the same time, the day off, which was to take place on January 7, was moved to December 31. Two more non-working days - January 4 and 5 - have been moved to May 2 and December 31, 2025, respectively.

Thus, the last working week of the year became a six-day week.

Earlier, on December 12, Zilina Sultanova, an independent HR specialist and career consultant, told Izvestia under what conditions employees can count on the payment of the 13th salary. According to her, an employee may not receive a bonus at the end of the year if, for example, the employer has not achieved the planned goals in the past year or if the company has financial problems. According to her, this often happens when the contract does not specify the terms of payment of such a bonus. The expert noted that the employer does this to protect itself.
