Molniya UAV units destroyed AFU equipment and fighters in the Kurakhov direction

Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) Molniya calculations of the separate Guards motorized rifle brigade of the Southern Group of Forces' Southern Group of Forces have successfully defeated a stronghold and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the Russian Defense Ministry reported on December 16.

"If we need to dismantle a position, a machine gun point or need to open some wall - we use a KZ-3 shaped charge, if we need suppression - we fly into a building, we use bursting shells with fragmentation-fugitive action," commented the operator of the UAV with the call sign Gogol.

As noted by representatives of the ministry, the role of drones in combat continues to grow, in connection with which engineers are designing new modifications of drones. UAVs provide effective reconnaissance in round-the-clock mode, determining the location of equipment, firepower and personnel of the Ukrainian army.

Earlier, on December 5, the Defense Ministry showed how the calculations of the Molniya-2 drones of the Northern Group of Forces hit military facilities, armored and automotive equipment of the AFU in the border area of Kursk Region. According to the agency, Russian servicemen use various combat UAVs - from ordinary FPV drones to airplane-type kamikazes - on a daily basis in the course of destroying small mobile groups of the enemy.

The special operation to defend Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, is ongoing. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
