German biathletes win World Cup relay for the first time since 2021


The German women's team won the relay race at the second stage of the Biathlon World Cup in Hochfilzen, Austria, for the first time since 2021.
The athletes allowed four misses and covered the distance in 1 hour 16 minutes 13.6 seconds.
French biathletes took second place with a difference of 1 minute 05.7 seconds. They also used 13 extra cartridges and went to the second penalty lap. The bronze medal was awarded to the Swedish athletes with +1 minute 31.8 seconds. They drove one penalty lap and used six extra cartridges, specified the publication "Sport-Express".
Earlier, on December 9, it became known that the sprint stage of the second stage of the Cup of Russia in biathlon won 23-year-old Anastasia Zyryanova. She did not make a single miss at the firing line, and the distance covered in 21 minutes 50.7 seconds.
