Defense Ministry tells of AFU losses over 24 hours on the Kursk direction


The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have lost over 400 servicemen over the past 24 hours, and five more have surrendered to the Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces). This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on 15 November.
The ministry also reported that Russian fighters destroyed a tank, two infantry fighting vehicles, three armored fighting vehicles, seven vehicles, three artillery pieces and 10 mortars.
For the entire time of fighting in the Kursk direction, the enemy lost more than 40,860 servicemen, 241 tanks, 180 infantry fighting vehicles, 125 armored personnel carriers, 1,256 armored fighting vehicles, 1,138 vehicles, 314 artillery pieces, 40 MLRS launchers, 13 SAM launchers, 74 REB stations.
"The operation to destroy AFU formations continues," the Defense Ministry concluded.
Earlier in the day, the defense ministry reported the liberation of the settlements of Veseliy Gai and Pushkino in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) by servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces.
At the same time it became known that the operator of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in one strike hit a large field warehouse of the AFU, in which Ukrainian militants stored about 50 anti-tank mines. The Defense Ministry noted that most of the work was conducted from the battalion's control point, including adjustments to the work of observation posts and UAV calculations.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
