Another tanker was damaged in the Kerch Strait


The tanker Volganeft-239 was damaged in the Kerch Strait. This was reported on December 15 by the main department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
It is specified that on board there are 14 crew members and cargo with oil products.
"In readiness to provide assistance there are units of the main department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Crimea: the State Inspectorate for small vessels, the task force of the 3rd fire and rescue squad (Kerch), employees of the special marine detachment of the main department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Crimea", - stated in the message of the Ministry.
It also reported that on the basis of the main department organized the work of the permanent operative headquarters.
More than 50 people and 11 units of equipment are involved in the liquidation of the incident.
No information on casualties has not yet been received.

The footage taken from the tanker itself shows the broken off bow part sticking out of the water. High waves are crashing over the side of the stern part, which is still afloat.
