Russia's main New Year's tree, installed on Sobornaya Square in the Kremlin, has become the second tallest (30 meters) among natural trees, which decorated European capitals for the holiday. This was reported by RIA Novosti agency on December 15 .

The spruce was cut down on December 9 in Mozhaisky district of Moscow region. Its age is at least 90 years, height - more than 30 meters, trunk diameter - 60 cm. The span of the lower branches is at least 8 meters. And on December 12, it was delivered to the center of Moscow.

"Among the natural trees of Europe, the native of the Moscow region is the second highest. Above her only decorating Vienna 34-meter Christmas tree. On the third place and only a meter lower - a resident of Rome. The main decoration of Polish Warsaw is 2 meters lower (27 m), and next to it - the festive symbol of New Year's Eve London (25 m)", - stated in the material of the agency.
