A new firefighting helicopter Ka-32A11BC has been added to the fleet of the Moscow Aviation Center. This was announced by the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin in his Telegram channel.

According to the mayor, the new machine "has the latest system of location and avionics" and is adapted for flights "in the most difficult weather conditions". All these qualities make the helicopter "indispensable for work in dense urban development," Sobyanin added.

"Now the aviation fleet of the IAC has 12 rotorcraft: six firefighting, five sanitary and one - reconnaissance," the mayor wrote.

He also noted that the IAC crews serve in the format of round-the-clock duty. The time of arrival of employees to the call is an average of 10-15 minutes from the moment of application.

"We plan to continue to replenish the aircraft fleet with new equipment and develop aviation rescue technologies in the capital," - emphasized Sobyanin.

In November, the mayor said that since the beginning of the year pilots of IAC air ambulance helicopters have evacuated 308 injured and somatic patients to city hospitals. In turn, fire aviation participated in the elimination of 11 major fires, he specified.

"To successfully perform their work, specialists of the aviation center constantly improve their qualifications," - said Sobyanin. If earlier employees had to travel to other cities, now it is possible to study without taking time off from the main work - in 2022 the IAC opened its own training center. Now 14 educational programs are conducted there. The main purpose of training is "training of universal personnel, who confidently act in any conditions", the mayor added.
