A plane from Moscow could not land in Samarkand due to snowfall


Due to heavy snowfall, a Ural Airlines flight from Moscow to Samarkand was unable to land at the destination airport and left for an alternate airfield in Tashkent. This was reported on December 15 by the press service of Uzbekistan Airports management company.
"Due to unfavorable weather conditions (visibility below normal) at Samarkand airport, the crew of Ural Airlines flight U6-2771 on the route Moscow - Samarkand decided to go to an alternate airfield in Tashkent," the company said in its Telegram channel.
It added that the plane landed in the Uzbek capital at 9:17 (7:17 Moscow time).
Earlier, on December 13, the Sukhoi Superjet 100 of Rossiya Airlines, which was flying from St. Petersburg to Moscow, suffered a depressurization and the flight returned to the departure airfield, no one was injured. The cause of the accident, tentatively, was a hatch that was not closed by personnel on the ground, and the aircraft crew noticed the problem in the air.
