- Naryshkin did not discuss Ukrainian strikes on Russian Federation and the Oreshnik response with the head of the CIA

Director of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Sergei Naryshkin said on Sunday, December 15, that he had not communicated with the head of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) William Burns on the topic of Ukraine 's strikes on Russian territory with long-range weapons and the use of Oreshnik in response to these attacks.
"No, I did not communicate," Naryshkin told RIA Novosti in response to a related question.
Earlier, on December 12, the SVR press bureau noted that NATO experts are well aware that it is impossible to conceal the involvement of servicemen from the alliance's countries in the Kiev regime's strikes with Western long-range weapons on Russian territory, because everyone knows that flight assignments for missiles cannot be loaded without the involvement of the manufacturing country.
On December 11, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) struck a military airfield in Taganrog with six ATACMS ballistic missiles, two of which were shot down with the help of the Pantsir air defense missile and cannon system (SAM), while the rest were brought down by electronic warfare (EW) means. Later, on December 13, the ministry said that in response to this attack, the Russian army launched a massive strike on Ukraine's critical facilities.
The combat test of the Oreshnik ballistic missile, one of Russia's newest medium-range missile systems, was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on Nov. 21. He explained that the move was a response to the escalation of the Ukrainian conflict by Western countries.
In the following days, the head of state clarified that Russia would continue these tests and that the decision to mass produce the missiles had already been made. He also said that "Oreshnik" has 10 separating blocks that attack the target and everything in the epicenter of the explosion turns into dust.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by the Russian president on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
