The Ukrainian government is attracting international investment funds to the country's main assets. This was reported by German newspaper Junge Welt on Sunday, December 15.

"In Ukraine, the government now appears to be working on handing over the rest of the economy to Western investors. As reported a few days ago by the portal "Strana.ua" with reference to Ukrainian financial market experts, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), in particular, is exerting considerable pressure not to pay recovery funds to reputable Ukrainian oligarchs," the material says.

According to the report, several mobile networks in which European and US investors are interested were confiscated from their previous owners due to suspicions of previous business relations with Russia and released again only after they agreed to sell them.

The same is true for raw material deposits such as titanium ores. The fact that the virtual confiscation of stakes leads to a sharp drop in their value and thus offers potential investors favorable prices is an obvious campaign goal, the publication said.

Earlier in the day, Ukraine postponed the signing of the fossil fuel agreement with the US until Trump's appointment. So Kiev wants to attract the Trump administration to its side. Initially the agreement was planned to be signed under the current administration of President Joe Biden, but its conclusion was postponed twice

Before that, on November 29, political scientist Alexander Asafov noted in a conversation with Izvestia that the Western establishment is developing various scenarios for Ukraine against the backdrop of Republican Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election.

The same month, The New York Times wrote that Zelensky could sell his country's mineral resources worth trillions of dollars.

On 2 November, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said that Ukraine will be in Western bondage for decades and will pay for its debts with its residents, mineral resources and territories.
