UAV crews destroyed a large AFU field depot in Zaporizhzhya region
An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operator has hit a large field warehouse of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in which the Ukrainian military had stored about 50 anti-tank mines. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 15.
"The operator made a decision to try to destroy. From the first time hit right in the center of all these mines. The fire started, after which there was a strong detonation," - said the battalion's chief of staff with the call sign Berkut.
The agency noted that most of the work is conducted from the battalion's control center, including adjustments to the work of observation posts and UAV calculations.
Berkut also added that in the past they often worked percussively: they found a target, handed it over to the artillery, corrected it and struck.
With attack aircraft is a slightly different procedure: first it is necessary to clarify with the commander of the unit, what exactly he needs, what type of support.
"Now is supporting the assault of one of the units by aerial observation of the enemy plus drops (WOP) periodically," - emphasized the battalion's chief of staff.
Earlier, on December 14, the Defense Ministry published footage of the destruction of AFU soldiers in Kharkiv region with the help of drones. It is specified that the objects were detected by means of aerial reconnaissance of one of the units of the group of troops "North".
On the same day in the Kharkiv region, the group of troops "North" of the Russian Armed Forces destroyed a pickup truck with Ukrainian military with the help of FPV-drone.
