Ukraine recognizes use of foreign weapons by pilot shot down near Kherson

The pilot of the tactical aviation plane that was shot down near Kherson by Russian air defense means used "foreign means of defeat". This was reported by the press service of the air forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on December 14.

"Pilots of the tactical aviation of the air forces are working on the edge of capabilities, using all means of defeat of foreign production," - said in a statement of the representatives of the Ukrainian army.

The agency did not specify what specific foreign-made means of production the military used. It also said that the pilot serves in the 299th brigade of the AFU aviation.

Earlier in the day, Russian air defenses shot down a tactical aircraft of the AFU in the Kherson region. Then the Governor of the Kherson region Volodymyr Saldo said that an aviation danger was declared in the region.
