Air defense forces destroyed five AFU drones over Russian territory in an hour

Air defense means shot down five drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the Belgorod, Kursk, Bryansk regions and the Black Sea. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry on Saturday, December 14.

"In the period from 21:30 to 22:30 Moscow time, an attempt by the Kiev regime to commit a terrorist attack c using aircraft-type UAVs on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation was foiled," the ministry said in its Telegram channel.

Two dromes were destroyed over the territory of Kursk region, one more - over the territories of Belgorod and Bryansk regions and the last one - over the waters of the Black Sea.

Earlier in the day, the ministry said that air defense forces shot down five Ukrainian airplane-type drones over the Belgorod region in half an hour - between 09:10 and 09:40.

On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense assets overnight intercepted and destroyed 37 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
