Four-time Olympic champion in the USSR national team Raisa Smetanina is in intensive care after a stroke. This was announced on December 14 by the representative of the Komi Republic Ski Racing Federation Konstantin Sobyanin.
"Raisa Petrovna had a stroke about a week ago, now she is in intensive care in the hospital," - quotes his words TASS.
Sobyanin also said that doctors can not provide any prognosis, but it is known that the athlete is conscious.
Raisa Smetanina has won many medals during her career, including at the Olympic Games and world championships. Among her achievements are four Olympic gold medals, five silver medals and one bronze medal.
