Suspect in car bombing in Donetsk center detained

A Russian man has been detained on suspicion of involvement in a car bombing in the center of Donetsk that killed a military officer.

Employees of the FSB, Interior Ministry, Rosgvardiya and Investigative Committee of the DNR participated in the capture of the local resident.

It has been established that the suspect, on the instructions of the Ukrainian side, placed an explosive device under the bottom of the car and remotely detonated it with the aim of killing him.

Persons who may also be involved in the incident are currently being identified.

A car exploded in the center of Donetsk on December 9. A criminal case was opened.

Initially it became known about two victims. Later, the media reported that one person was killed.
