Putin points to Russia's economic growth amid unprecedented sanctions


Russia is developing and its economy is growing amid unprecedented sanctions. This was stated by Russian leader Vladimir Putin at the XXII Congress of the United Russia party on December 14.
"Russia is developing, the economy is growing, and this against the background of unprecedented, in the literal sense of the word, in world history sanctions, rude interference and pressure from the ruling elites of some states. But no blackmail, no attempts from the outside to prevent us will never give us anything," he emphasized.
Putin noted that the Russian state is confident in its strength and rightness. In addition, he said that the tasks set for the long-term perspective will definitely be solved.
As for the implementation of new national projects, the Russian leader expects United Russia to start its activities from the first days of 2025.
"I am sure that you, your colleagues, party organizations in the regions - the entire United Russia party will start this hard work from the first days of the coming year," the president concluded.
Earlier, on October 23, Mikhail Belyaev, candidate of economic sciences, financial analyst, told Izvestia that despite the sanctions, the Russian economy turned out to be very stable, resistant to this kind of restriction, has survived and shows good growth rates.
Prior to that, on August 30, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov predicted that Russia's GDP growth in 2024 would be 3.9%. He said that in 2024, the Russian economy is developing faster than the authorities and experts had predicted.
