Putin proposed to expand the "Time of Heroes" program


Tens of thousands of people want to participate in the program "Time of Heroes", the second stream is being formed at the moment. This was announced on December 14 by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the XXII Congress of the party "United Russia". He also proposed to expand the program.
The head of state noted that the application for participation in the program can be submitted by anyone who has proved himself in a special military operation (SMO). According to him, the participants of the first stream, who are still continuing their training, are already being offered high positions and tasks.
The President also said that in Russia this year, more than 300 veterans of the SVO have been supported by voters in elections of various kinds. He noted that United Russia has nominated a large number of candidates with professionalism and integrity. By such actions, Putin said, the party has done the right thing, advocating higher requirements for the quality and performance of all levels of government.
"I propose and consider it necessary to expand the federal project "Time of Heroes", to launch similar programs in the regions as it has already been done in Stavropol Krai, in Belgorod, Voronezh, Ryazan, Samara, Tula regions and in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug," the Russian leader said.
He called on United Russia to get involved in the work to expand the program and expressed hope that the actions would be informal. The President pointed to the need to find people and help in organizing their training.
Earlier, on December 11, it became known that the participant of the first stream of the program "Time of Heroes" Kirill Losunchukov was appointed Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow region. He became one of 83 participants of the program "Time of Heroes" in May this year. Losunchukov noted that this experience had a strong impact on him.
Prior to that, on December 3, a holder of the Order of Courage and a participant of the first stream of the "Time of Heroes" program, captain of the second rank Nikolai Korolev was appointed deputy chairman of the St. Petersburg government's Committee on Law, Order and Security.
The launch of the "Time of Heroes" program was announced by Putin in his address to the Federal Assembly on February 29. The Russian leader specified that the participants of the special operation will be given the opportunity to enter leading universities and get a civilian specialty as a priority.
The "Time of Heroes" personnel program is aimed at training leaders to work in state and municipal authorities from the participants of the special operation in Ukraine.
