Kherson region authorities reported the shooting down of an AFU plane


Russian air defenses have shot down a tactical aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Kherson Region. This was reported to Izvestia on December 14 by the press secretary of the region's governor, Volodymyr Vasylenko.
Earlier in the day, the head of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo wrote in his Telegram-channel that an aviation danger was declared in the region. Later he reported that it was canceled.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that air defense means shot down six AFU drones over Belgorod and Kursk regions. It was specified that the terrorist attempt was foiled between 11:30 and 12:40 Moscow time.
Ukrainian militants are daily shelling the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions, as well as attempting to strike other Russian regions against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
