Russian military hit three warehouses with AFU drones in the special operation zone


The Russian army has destroyed three Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) drone depots, enemy manpower and equipment in 153 areas of the special operation for the defense of Donbas. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 14.
"Operational-tactical aviation, strike drones, missile troops and artillery of the groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated three depots of unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as accumulations of enemy manpower and military equipment in 153 areas," the ministry said in a statement.
It added that units of the grouping of troops "West" defeated five brigades of the AFU near the settlements of Lozovaya and Zagryzovo of Kharkiv region, Nadiya of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR), Olivkovsky Yar beam and Serebryansky forestry. In addition, the "West" fighters repelled two counterattacks by Ukrainian units.
In the area of responsibility of this Russian grouping, the AFU lost up to 540 military personnel, four pickup trucks, two armored personnel carriers (APCs), American 155-mm howitzers M198, M777 and a 105-mm caliber M119 gun. In addition, Russian fighters destroyed a 155-mm Braveheart self-propelled artillery unit and a British-made FH-70 howitzer, an Italian Melara Mod 56 howitzer of 105 mm caliber, six 122-mm D-30 howitzers and two Zakhist-AF and Anclav electronic warfare (EW) stations.
Earlier in the day, Vadim Astafiev, head of the press center of the Southern Group of Forces, said that the group's fighters had defeated seven AFU brigades and repelled two counterattacks by Ukrainian assault groups. The AFU lost up to 235 fighters killed and wounded.
The day before, on December 13, the Russian Defense Ministry showed footage of objective control of the destruction of an AFU D-30 howitzer. The enemy's gun was in a camouflaged firing position in a forest belt, but scouts discovered it. The Russian military destroyed the howitzer with an FPV drone strike.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
