Fighters of the Southern Group of Forces defeated seven AFU brigades

Units of the southern grouping of troops have successfully repelled two counterattacks by Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) assault groups. This was reported by the head of the press center of the grouping of troops Vadim Astafiev on December 14.

"As a result of active actions took a more advantageous position, defeated the formations of four mechanized, aeromobile brigade and two brigades of territorial defense in the areas of the settlements of Ulakly, Grigorovka, Seversk, Vasyukovka, Chasov Yar, Dachne, Kurakhovo, Annivka and Uspenovka," - he said.

Up to 235 Ukrainian fighters were wounded and killed.

The enemy also lost a Kozak armored fighting vehicle and a pickup truck. Also during the counter-battery battle the Russian Armed Forces destroyed two 120-mm D-30 howitzers and a 105-mm M119 gun.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that in the Kursk border region of Kursk, servicemen of special units of the grouping of troops of the Rosgvardia together with units of the Ministry of Defense destroyed more than 30 militants, equipment and weapons of the AFU. It was specified that the Rosgvardeys also provided cover and escort for the Russian Armed Forces' multiple rocket launchers.

On the eve, the Defense Ministry said that the Russian Armed Forces carried out 15 group strikes with high-precision weapons and drones on military facilities and energy sector of Ukraine during the week. As a result of the Russian army's actions, the infrastructure of military airfields, drone assembly and storage sites, as well as arsenals, ammunition depots and locations of AFU formations and foreign mercenaries were destroyed. According to the defense ministry, the Russian army has destroyed more than 29,000 units of military vehicles of the AFU since the beginning of the special operation.
