Russia has put AFU Colonel Serhiy Savchenko on the wanted list


Russia has put Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Serhiy Savchenko on the wanted list. This was reported by the RIA Novosti news agency on 14 December with a reference to the materials of law-enforcement agencies. The materials cited by the agency suggest that he is linked to the shelling of a bakery in Lysychansk in the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR).
On February 3, Ukrainian militants shelled a bakery in Lisichansk. As a result of the strike, 28 civilians were killed. Among them were a pregnant woman and her five-year-old child. Another 10 people were rescued from under the rubble of the building. Under fire hit a civilian facility where people came to relax with their families and children.
"Sergei Anatolievich Savchenko is wanted in Russia", - the agency refers to the materials.

After the strike on the bakery in Lysychansk, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the incident "gratitude" of Kiev extremists for "generous" financial support from the European Union states.
Later, on March 8, the commander of the third division of the 107th reactive brigade of the AFU, Yevhen Rodin, was put on the wanted list. It was not specified under what article. However, the media reported that he was wanted in connection with the investigation of a criminal case over the shelling of a bakery in the LNR city of Lysychansk.
Ukrainian militants have been systematically shelling the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics, as well as Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions, amid the special operation to protect Donbas, the start of which was announced by Russia on February 24, 2022.
