Rosgvardiya has destroyed more than 30 AFU fighters in the Kursk border area

Servicemen of special units of the Rosgvardiya group of troops together with units of the Ministry of Defense have destroyed more than 30 militants, equipment and weapons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border area of Kursk region. This was reported on December 14 by the press service of the Central District of the Rosgvardia.

"As a result of the integrated use of FPV-drones, tank and artillery, the fire group of special forces of Rosgvardia destroyed three strongholds and two calculations of AGS of the enemy, as well as accurate ammunition drops from UAVs destroyed 120-mm and 82-mm mortars with ammunition," - stated in the message of the agency.

It is specified that the Rosgvardeys also provided cover and escort for the Russian Armed Forces multiple rocket launchers.

Earlier, on December 10, special forces of the Rosgvardiya destroyed a pickup truck of Ukrainian militants in the Kursk region. It is specified that the driver and personnel of the AFU, who were in the vehicle at the time of the strike, were eliminated.

Before that, on December 5, special forces of the Rosgvardiya carried out strikes by kamikaze drones on AFU positions in the Kursk region. It was specified that up to 10 militants and a vehicle of the National Guard of Ukraine, intended for emergency evacuation of personnel from combat positions, were destroyed.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
