Putin held a meeting with Nazarbayev in Novo-Ogaryovo


Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with former Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev in Novo-Ogaryovo on December 13.
"Vladimir Putin met with Kazakhstan's first president Nursultan Nazarbayev in Novo-Ogaryovo," the Kremlin said in a statement published on its website on December 14.
Details of the conversation between Nazarbayev and Putin were not given.
Earlier, on November 27-28, the Russian leader paid a two-day visit to Kazakhstan. During it, Russian-Kazakhstani delegation talks were held, during which the head of state noted the dynamic development of bilateral relations, which have both only business and friendly nature. Acting President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in turn, emphasized that Astana was and remains a reliable strategic partner and ally of Moscow.
Nursultan Nazarbayev was the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan, president of the Kazakh SSR and the first president of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He stepped down in March 2019.
