On a flight from Moscow to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, a man with epilepsy became ill and a passenger came to his aid. On Saturday, December 14, Izvestia talked to the heroine of this story - Svetlana Sokolova.

According to her, the man became ill even before takeoff. And she, as an employee of a medical center, could not help but come to the rescue.

"The man was bad, most likely, he had an epileptic attack - I had to come up and help. Just conducted "medical manipulations", further waited for the ambulance to arrive. After that, the patient was safely taken to a medical institution," Svetlana said.

She added that "in her place, any decent person would have done so".

Earlier, in March, medical students of the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) Yaroslav Salatov and Nadezhda Tsoi rendered first aid to a passenger on a Sochi-Vladivostok flight who became ill during the flight. As Salatov told Izvestia, the students learned about the fact that one of the passengers needed help from the flight attendants over the loudspeaker. They got the on-board first aid kit and started first aid. Salatov did not specify what exactly was wrong with the passenger, referring to medical ethics.
