Russian Defense Ministry shows footage of the destruction of an underground shelter of the AFU

Servicemen of the reconnaissance unit of the "North" group of troops have destroyed a Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) hideout in the border area of Kursk Region. Footage of the combat operation was shown by the Russian Defense Ministry on Saturday, December 14.

The footage shows that the shelter is underground, with only a small entrance visible on the surface. According to the Defense Ministry, there were Ukrainian military personnel inside.

The shelter was detected using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). After analyzing the data received as a result of reconnaissance, the command decided to send an FPV drone to it. The video recorded an accurate hit on the target.

Earlier, on December 11, the Defense Ministry reported that the AFU lost more than 200 servicemen and three tanks in the Kursk direction over the past day. The Defense Ministry noted that in total, the militants lost more than 40,000 servicemen, 239 tanks, 177 infantry fighting vehicles, 125 armored personnel carriers, 1,252 armored combat vehicles and 1,124 vehicles during the fighting on the Kursk direction.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The operation to destroy the militants continues.
