Earlier, on December 13, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that an Army aviation crew on a Mi-28 helicopter as part of a mixed tactical group struck personnel, a stronghold and military vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk border region with air missiles.

On the eve of November 19, the ministry showed the combat work of the crews of Mi-28NM and Ka-52M helicopters, which, accompanied by Mi-8PSG helicopter, struck at the AFU's personnel, armored vehicles and military vehicles in the Kursk border area. The strike was carried out to support the ground grouping of the Russian Armed Forces. All targets were hit.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
