Astana center left without electricity due to cable thieves

In Kazakhstan, the center of Astana was left without light for several hours due to theft of cables. About it on Friday, December 13, reported the press service of the electric distribution company "Astana REC".

"At the substation "Chubary" there were disconnections of cells 10 kV. On the limitation are three distribution points. The cause was the theft of the cable line. Four operational and field crews are on site. Switches are made", - stated in the message of the company.

It is specified that 11 houses of the capital of the republic remain without electricity.

Earlier, on October 18, Cuba was left without electricity due to an accident at the CHPP. Without electricity remained the whole country. The Russian Embassy in Havana on the same day urged Russians to remain calm amid the blackout. The diplomats asked Russians in Cuba to stay calm and follow the instructions of local authorities, to charge their phones if possible and to use the battery sparingly. Later, on October 20, the Republic's Ministry of Energy and Mining reported that Cuba's power system was out of service again.
