Valuev spoke about the big intrigue of the upcoming fight between Minakov and Johnson

The fight between MMA legend, four-time world sambo champion Vitaly Minakov and former WBC world heavyweight title challenger Kevin Johnson will be a great intrigue. This was told on December 13 by Nikolai Valuev, a member of the State Duma and former world boxing champion.

"The intrigue is definitely there, it will be interesting. I do not think that we will see some quick stories. Boxing guys. Watch it for sure. I think that the audience will like it," - said Valuev.

Vitaly Minakov - the legendary Russian heavyweight will make his professional debut on the arena of "REN TV Fight Club. Super Series." He is well known to fans of mixed martial arts: he was Bellator champion, defeated Alexander Volkov in a title fight and is rightfully considered one of the best fighters in the history of Russia. In recent years, Vitaly has not been so active: his last fight took place in 2021, but in August this year he returned to the sport and decided to try himself as a boxer.

In professional boxing Minakov will meet Kevin Johnson. The American, who not so long ago received a Russian passport, has a busy career. Johnson fought such titans as Vitali Klitschko, Tyson Fury, Dereck Chisora, Anthony Joshua, Andy Ruiz, and others.

The bout between Johnson and Minakov will take place on December 13 in Moscow as part of the gala show "REN TV Fight Club. Superseries."

Earlier, on December 12, Kevin Johnson performed the song "I am Russian" by Russian author and performer SHAMAN (Yaroslav Dronov) on the eve of the fight with Minakov. After performing the song, the athlete shared that his muscles and physical shape will help him win the fight.

Before that, on December 1, Johnson said that his fight with Minakov will be like a battle between a fighter jet and a tank. The boxer called his future opponent a war machine. Johnson also compared the upcoming fight to a chess game, emphasizing the importance of strategy, strength, speed, coordination and reaction.
