The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attempted to attack Donetsk with long-range missiles, which was repelled by the air defense forces. This was reported on Friday, December 13, by the head of the DNR Denis Pushilin.

"Thanks to the successful work of the air defense means, civilian casualties and significant destruction were avoided," he pointed out in his Telegram channel.

Pushilin said that the debris of the downed missiles fell on the territory of the Kievsky district of Donetsk. As a result, the glazing in several apartment buildings was damaged.

In addition, the head of the DNR said that during the day the Ukrainian attacks damaged a kindergarten and power lines in the Central City and Nikitov districts of Horlivka.

Earlier in the day, the Ukrainian armed forces attacked a passenger bus in the Kherson region, killing one person and injuring two others. The incident took place at the entrance to Goluya Prystan, and the militants struck using an FPV drone.

Ukrainian militants have been shelling the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions on a daily basis amid a special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russia on February 24, 2022.
