"Rostec" called "Solntsepek" one of the most formidable types of Russian weapons

The Solntsepek heavy flamethrower system (HFS) burns everything that can burn, and after its salvo, attacking aircraft meet virtually no resistance. This was told in the state corporation "Rostec" on December 13.

"Solntsepek" in the special operation zone is one of the most formidable types of Russian weapons. It is impossible to hide from the fire of this system. If there is a chance to escape from fragmentation and fugitive shells in a trench, a DOT or the basement of a building, this is no obstacle for TPS. The striking effect of thermobaric munitions is all-penetrating", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the state corporation.

It is specified that when a special charge is triggered, the thermobaric mixture is evenly distributed and simultaneously detonated. Subsequently, the components of the projectile detonate, creating a strong shock wave.

In addition, Rostec drew attention to the fact that "Solntsepek" is able to create extremely high temperatures, destroying everything that can catch fire.

"Therefore, after a volley of "Solntsepek" or "Tosochka" attack aircraft usually do not meet resistance, as there is simply no one to provide it. It is no secret that the enemy literally hunts these machines. However, good defense and fast operation of the complex make this technique a difficult target," - added in the state corporation.

Earlier, on November 3, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of the combat work of the Solntsepek unit of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense (RCDBZ) troops of the Southern Group of Forces in the defeat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the zone of the special military operation. After receiving the coordinates of the temporary deployment point of one of the AFU motorized rifle brigades, the TOC crew marched to the firing position.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russia announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision to carry it out was taken against the background of an aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
