A civilian was injured in a drone strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on two settlements in Belgorod Region. This was reported by the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov on December 13.

"In the village of Gruzskoye, Borisovsky district, a man was wounded as a result of an FPV drone attack on a car. The victim with mine blast trauma and multiple shrapnel wounds was transported by hitchhiking to the Borisov Central Regional Hospital," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Gladkov specified that the man was transported to the city hospital No. 2 in Belgorod after first aid.

In addition, Ukrainian troops struck the village of Krasnaya Niva, dropping an explosive device from a drone, which caused the roof of a residential building to catch fire. The fire was extinguished by self-defense fighters, the governor added.

On the same day it was reported that Ukrainian militants shelled Belgorod region with more than 50 shells during the day. As a result of dropping an explosive device from a drone, a self-defense fighter was killed in the village of Terebreno in Krasnoyaruzha district. A civilian was also seriously injured in a UAV attack in the village of Krasnaya Niva, Belgorod district.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
